Today, as President and CEO of The Citrine Foundation of Canada, JoAnne Korten has worked with the board of directors who have disbursed more than $9.5M to charities that serve children, women, healthcare, the arts, and numerous other causes in our communities across Canada.

JoAnne is a demonstrated leader in philanthropic giving, governance and nurturing strong partnerships. Over this past decade, she has helped hundreds of Canadian philanthropists and families to identify charities that align best with their interests, their beliefs, and their values. JoAnne’s stewardship and oversight has helped to facilitate the distribution of over $79M to over 100 Canadian charities.

The Citrine Foundation of Canada consults with advisors and donors with vast personal and professional experience in philanthropy with a strong focus on the needs of Canada’s diverse communities.

The Citrine Foundation has a particular interest in funding agencies who are proactive in their work and creative in their approach to raising funds and can encourage other supporters to match some or all of our grants.
